Jamie Miller is blessed and excited to serve as the Co-Director of Religious Education at St. Catherine of Siena. She is married to her husband, John, and they are the proud parents of two children, Jordyn and Joshua.

Raised in the Catholic faith, Jamie began volunteering in parish ministry at the age of 16, serving with St. Vincent de Paul and volunteering with her parish’s CCD program. Over the years, her faith and love for ministry have continued to grow. One of the greatest blessings of her ministry has been serving as a Religious Education Director at different parishes throughout the diocese. She is grateful for the opportunity to continue sharing her faith and serving God’s children within the parish community at St. Catherine of Siena.

After having her own children, Jamie started the Special Buddies program at St. Charles Parish, providing individuals with intellectual disabilities an opportunity to learn about Jesus and grow in their Catholic faith. It was a privilege for her to help prepare these students to receive First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation.

Jamie’s professional experiences have also allowed her to work closely with children and families. She spent 15 years working with Sharon Regional Health System as a Therapeutic Staff Support and has also worked with the Board of Developmental Disabilities in Early Intervention and as a Service Support Administrator. Through each of these experiences, she has been blessed with opportunities to show God’s love by being His hands and feet for others during times of joy, difficulty, and uncertainty.

Jamie’s Catholic faith is at the center of who she is and who they are as a family. She believes that parents are the first teachers of their children’s faith and looks forward to partnering with families as they help their children grow closer to Jesus and discover the beauty of the Catholic faith.

Her grandmother often reminded her of Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” That verse continues to guide Jamie today. She trusts that the Lord has a plan and has brought her to this ministry to help lead the Religious Education Program.

Jamie looks forward to getting to know the families of the parish, serving alongside the catechists and parish community, and helping the children become joyful disciples of Jesus Christ. She is truly grateful for this opportunity and excited for all that God has in store for the parish community.
