Cursillo is a lay Catholic movement that provides a "short course in Christianity" through a three-day weekend retreat and ongoing follow-up. It aims to help participants deepen their faith and live out their Christian calling in daily life.
The Youngstown Cursillo Movement is part of the Worldwide Cursillo Movement originally founded in 1949 in Spain and now headquartered in Santo Domingo. We are organized as follows: Youngstown Cursillo belongs in Region III which is comprised of Cursillo Centers in Youngstown, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Rochester, Altoona-Johnstown, and West Virginia. The National Cursillo Center is located in Jerrell, Texas.
