The Confraternity of the Most Holy Names of God and Jesus, also known as the Holy Name Society, is dedicated to fostering reverence for the Sacred Names of God and Jesus Christ, fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, and the personal holiness of its members. Members are called to support the Church’s mission of evangelization and to live lives marked by continual reverence and love for our Lord and Savior.
Through active participation in parish life, the Holy Name Society serves others by practicing both the Corporal Works of Mercy—feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, giving drink to the thirsty, sheltering the homeless, caring for the sick, visiting the imprisoned, and burying the dead—and the Spiritual Works of Mercy, including converting sinners, instructing the ignorant, counseling the wayward, comforting the sorrowful, bearing adversity patiently, forgiving offenses, and praying for the living and the dead.
This is a very active ministry and is open to all who wish to join. The group meets on the first Wednesday of every month in the St. Peter Room. For more information, please contact President John Lenton at 330-518-4328.
