Members of this ministry reach out to parishioners who are unable to attend Mass or participate in parish activities, helping them remain connected to the life of the parish. Through prayerful presence, compassionate listening, and encouragement, they offer comfort and spiritual support to those entrusted to their care.
Visits may include bringing Holy Communion, praying together, or simply spending time in companionship. The frequency of visits is determined collaboratively by the homebound individual, their caregiver, and the parish minister. While you do not need to be a Eucharistic Minister to participate in this ministry, a deep reverence and respect for the Eucharist is essential. Training and instruction are available for those who wish to bring the love and care of the parish community to our homebound parishioners.
